Head of Data Platform
This is a product leadership role, not a delivery or engineering management position. The person needs to own the vision for the data capability, shape the roadmap, and influence the business, not just execute against a backlog.
Scope:
- Data platform, internal analytics, commercial data products, and data governance
- GCP is a hard requirement, ideally someone who has built or led on it post-migration
- Comfortable forming a team and establishing product and governance practice from an early stage
- Genuinely AI-aware, meaning it shapes how they think about product, not just something they mention
The right person thinks in outcomes, speaks to commercial and technical stakeholders equally well, and can define what good looks like before the team exists to build it.
