Muda, Mura and Muri
On September 1st, the last Expert Group meeting of 2020 took place and the theme of this last session was Lean MDM. Squadra associate Peter Pottinga explained in the introduction how “Lean” also applies to Master Data Management. Simone Boeve, Marketing Data & Content Manager Benelux at Signify, presented a subsequent case about Consumer Data Management within the Benelux to the Expert Group, and it was very interesting to see which market demands they have to meet. The processes and the model they incorporate, globally versus locally, inspired the Experts for breakout questions in which the Japanese concepts Muda (waste), Mura (peaks and dips) and Muri (overload) from the Lean theory were applied.
