You may recognize this for your organization: the information about your products on the different sales channels is not consistent. As a result, customers will see different information in the store than in the webshop. You can counteract this fragmentation of product information with the help of Product Information Management (PIM). PIM makes it possible for everyone to see and use the same information everywhere. That is ultimately good for an optimal experience for your customer.
But where do you start? What is involved with PIM, and how do you set it up?
In collaboration with Thuiswinkel.org, Squadra Master Data Management has developed a free e-learning module where you learn what PIM is, what other data management systems have to do with it, and whether PIM is a good choice for your company. You will also learn what a PIM data model should contain and how data standards promote data quality, which elements a PIM system contains and how to make a choice between the different types of systems, which PIM processes are important to know and why, and how you organize your organization in such a way that you can optimally work with PIM.
In this e-learning you will learn from Jos Schreurs and Onno Cleijpool of Squadra. Jos is co-founder and partner of Squadra, where he focuses on strategic PIM issues, among other things. Onno has been an associate within Squadra since the beginning and has been passionately working on PIM assignments for over 15 years.
The e-learning takes approximately 60 minutes. You can pause it in between, so that you can go through the material at your own pace and resume at a time of your choosing. When you have completed the e-learning, it is time to prove that you have understood the material. For this you take a final test. Have you answered enough questions correctly?
