Leolux is a Dutch family-owned company that produces and develops contemporary furniture with high-quality design and finishes. The company has a global market presence, with key markets including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, and France. Leolux manufactures its products in its own European factories. The production focuses on craftsmanship and traditional skills, allowing Leolux to create unique products for customers.
Leolux operates with a multi-brand strategy with its own brands: Leolux (premium), Pode (lifestyle), and Évidence, and has a B2B relationship with a strong dealer network that sells these brands to the consumer market. In addition to the consumer sector, Leolux LX focuses on the project market. Leolux is a growing company with the ambition to become one of the largest sustainable European A-brands.
Leolux has grown into an international player in the furniture market over the past few years. In a market where Leolux, as a manufacturer of configurable furniture, offers consumers unparalleled individual choices, the company’s ambition to further grow in this market and the increasing demand for digital data exchange necessitates the further professionalization and digitalization of product information.
For Leolux, it became clear that a suitable PIM system was needed. A system, as a central source of all relevant product data, that allows for more efficient and faster publishing of product information to various channels such as the web, the dealer network, and print (catalogs). This aims to improve internal processes and meet the external need for digital product information. Squadra was then asked to assist in the selection of the PIM system to help Leolux achieve their ambitions and elevate the management, control, and publication of product information.
Squadra specializes in Product Information Management and Master Data Management. They assisted Leolux in the selection process of a new central PIM system using their proven standard approach.
The process was carried out in two phases. First, the requirements and wishes of Leolux were defined through several workshops, and a Request for Proposal (RFP) document was prepared. Together with Leolux, a shortlist of PIM system suppliers was created, who received the RFP document. In the second step, the proposals from the suppliers were evaluated, and the most suitable solution for Leolux was selected. Squadra also assisted in defining the data model.
