Meet our colleagues
In this article, we will introduce you to Julian, Technical Consultant PIM / MDM at Squadra. You will learn more about Julian’s role, what he likes most about working at Squadra and how he likes to spend his free time.
Julian grew up in Rijkevoort, a tiny village in the east of North Brabant, the Netherlands. “It’s a really small town with about 1.700 people. It’s a small place, but it gave me a solid foundation”, he adds, reflecting on his roots.
At Squadra, Julian holds the role of a technical implementation consultant. “I’m currently working on a project for Bunzl Continental Europe", he shares. His job is all about managing and distributing information efficiently across systems.
He describes his role in simple terms: “I make sure that the information a company gathers is saved in one place and, when it’s changed, it’s updated across all the company’s systems.” It’s a job that requires technical know-how and precision, with about 40% of his time spent coding and the rest consulting the business and developing new solutions.

One of the things Julian appreciates most about working at Squadra is the diversity of the team and the opportunities it offers. “It’s a multidisciplinary environment with lots of different people. Plus, you get the chance to work with various customers”, he says.
For Julian, having an entrepreneurial mindset is encouraged, allowing him to take initiative and explore new skills. “If you want to learn something new, you can do that in your own way. I also enjoy being able to provide my own input”, he shares.

Outside of work, Julian is passionate about staying active. “Sports are a huge part of my life”, he says enthusiastically. His fitness routine includes CrossFit, running, and, whenever the wind is right, kitesurfing.
Beyond sports, Julian has a deep love for travel. Last year, he explored Madagascar; this year, he visited Turkey, and he has trips planned to Thailand and Japan in the near future. “Traveling keeps me excited and gives me a fresh perspective”, he explains.
Reflecting on the past year, Julian is proud of the work/life balance he has found. “Moving from school into a full-time job, developing myself in my role, managing my relationship and household, and keeping up with my sports - it’s a lot, but I’ve made it work”, he shares. Through this balanced approach, Julian shows how a fulfilling career and active lifestyle can go hand in hand.
